What I got for Christmas 2016

So I was really lucky to get some gorgeous gifts this Christmas. Most of them I had put on my list to Santa, so was chuffed to pieces when they arrived. Although not as exciting as lots of surprises, I appreciate getting things I asked for as I know they’ll be well used. I also got lots of lovely things as secret Santa gifts. In no particular order, here is what I got!

*As these were all presents, I won’t be posting links, but if any take your fancy I’m sure they’ll be available online*

  1. UP24 by Jawbone Small Wireless Activity and Sleep Tracking Wristband for iOS and Android – Onyx

I asked for this as I was interested to know how much I slept in a night and how many steps I do a day. I didn’t want anything fancy or too expensive. I really like my Jawbone. It’s black so it goes with everything and it looks like a simple bracelet. I link it up to a free app on my phone and it does exactly what I want it to.

2. Lindt Milk Chocolate Snowman

I often get chocolates like this for Christmas alongside money from family friends, and I love them! Lindt is one of my faves and these snowmen are really cute! They don’t last long though!

3. The White Company – Fresh Fig Hand and Nail Gift Set

img_7028

I’m not sure I’ve actually ever tried anything from The White Company before, so I’m really eager to give this set a go. It comes with a hand wash and also a hand and nail cream. It seems like really good quality.

4. Choc on Choc Chocolate Biscuits

img_7027

I’ve seen these chocolates before but have never tried them. Yes I said chocolates – these aren’t biscuits! The likeness to our favourite British biscuits is uncanny and I can’t wait to eat them!

5. River Island top and tights

img_7035

I really love this gift from a family friend and think its a great combo! Obviously teamed up with a cute skirt, I think this would look great together. I’m totally loving the ruffles and the full length sleeves of the top.

6. The Happiness Planner and Pen Set

I really wanted The Happiness Planner and it was top of my Christmas list. I’ve wanted it for a ling time, but didn’t really feel I could justify spending that much on myself  for a planner (£40). However, when asked what I wanted I knew it had to be this! And it doesn’t disappoint. I would like to write a blog post on it in the new year so won’t go into too much detail, but its perfect for anyone who wants to be organised and improve their happiness throughout the year. I was also given some extra stationery which I can’t wait to get on my desk. It’s a mixture of copper and gold.

7. Trendz Power Bank

img_7020

I’m totally in love with the print on this power bank and it will definitely be coming with me everywhere! Plus, I’ll be getting it out at any given opportunity! Practical and pretty, what’s not to love?!

8. Trendz Phone Case

img_7018

Again, I’m totally in love with this print. It’s a tad Cath Kidston which is a winner in my books and I can’t wait to get it on my phone.

9. Insta Flash

Another fab phone accessory! I really wanted to try one of these so was pleased to see it under the tree on Christmas Day. Working full-time, at the moment I usually only get to take photos when it’s dark outside and seem to have trouble with light. I guess its main purpose is for improving your selfie game which of course I’m up for, but I’m also going to use it to (hopefully) get better lighting in my pics. Will have to see how that goes!

10. Heart Shaped Bowl

img_7013

I got this as a secret Santa gift and it’s really me. I love hearts, and I love having trinkets and places to put all my bits and bobs so this works well! I like the design and think it’ll look great on my dressing table.

11. Lindt Lindor Orange

img_7012

It seems I’m a bit Lindt obsessed doesn’t it?! I was chuffed to get these as I’m a massive fan of chocolate orange but I’m not really sure I’ve tried these Lindt ones. I can’t wait to try them.

12. Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint Barry M (Dragon Fruit) and 2 Silicone Nail Polish Holders

img_7009img_7007img_7005

I got the nail polish as a secret Santa prezzie and I really love the colour. I don’t think I’ve tried the Barry M Gelly Hi Shine’s before so it’ll be interesting to see what its like. I’ve been eyeing up the nail polish holders for a while now and even though they’re quite cheap, I thought I would put them on my Christmas list. Hopefully they’ll make painting my nails a bit easier!

13. Prosecco Lip Balm, Bath Salts and Mug

img_7003

Another secret Santa gift, I think I must be pretty easy to buy for! Whilst I enjoy a tipple now and again, and I do like prosecco, I wouldn’t say its my absolute fave. However, I’m totally in love with these gifts. The lip balm tastes great and is moisturising, the bath salts smell amazing, and the mug is just the cutest! Seriously looking forward to having a bath surrounded by the scent of prosecco and some prosecco in my mug….ahhhh bliss!

14. Christmas Merry MoltenTruffles – M&S

img_7010

I got these from a friend and am so excited to try them – I’ve never had chocolates that you have to heat up before! I’m yet to eat them as I’m in a serious chocolate coma as it is, but when I do get round to trying them, I’m sure they’ll be amazing!

15. Benefit Besties

img_6993

I had spotted this in Boots a few weeks before Christmas and knew I needed it in my life, so it went straight on my list. It’s full of lots of the Benefit best sellers but in miniature form and also comes with a make-up bag. I’ve tried a few of the products, but not all of them so was eager to see what they were like before buying the full size version. I might do a little review of these in the new year.

So these are the main things I got for Christmas this year. Considering I wasn’t buying for many so didn’t expect to get many in return I think I did well! What do you like best? Did you get anything nice this year? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time…

Jean xoxo
